Clemens Photography is a long established family business, originally formed in 1951 by Clifford Clemens. He learnt his trade in the Navy, and then worked with George Ellis in Bodmin before starting the business on his own with a photo display cabinet outside his wife Betty’s sweet shop at 45 Fore Street. The photographs soon sold more than sweets, and they moved to their current location at number 63 in May 1955 where the family lived until 1969. Clemens Photography have archived Clifford’s original negatives and whilst he printed his work by hand in his darkroom, the business often reprints 50 year old negatives on our high tech digital lab with outstanding quality!
